Ideal Objects

According to Plato’s Theory of Forms as laid out in Phaedo, “there is such a thing as an absolute x.” There is an absolute pillow! It is the essence of all pillows, the ideal form of which all pillows partake, and the reason we call each particular pillow by one and the same name. Each of the items in our Ideal Objects line is a collaboration between PSNY’s design team and a poet, artist, or collective who sought to manifest their vision of that object’s formal ideal. Most importantly, 20% of each sale goes directly to the collaborating artists.
