The Difficult Lavender Morning Pillow features a painting by Gregg Emery & a collaborative poem by Kate Belew, Emi Bergquist, & Jackie Braje.
Want to add a splash of color, comfort, & poetry to your home? Originally inspired by the objects, activities, & places that brought them comfort during the pandemic, visual artist Gregg Emery & a few of PSNY’s poets combined their creative energies to collaborate on giving birth to words & paintings simultaneously. Our Perfect Circle Pillows promise to create a more profound sense of comfort than your average pillow.
The Perfect Circle Pillow series is a part of PSNY's Ideal Objects line of product collaborations. According to Plato’s Theory of Forms as laid out in Phaedo, “there is such a thing as an absolute x.” There is an absolute pillow! It is the essence of all pillows, the ideal form of which all pillows partake, and the reason we call each particular pillow by one and the same name. This one has a premium linen feel and comes complete with a shape-retaining insert.
Each of the items in our Ideal Objects line is a collaboration between PSNY’s design team and a poet, artist, or collective who sought to manifest their vision of that object’s formal ideal. Most importantly, 20% of each sale goes directly to the collaborating artists.
