Collection: The Lady Poet Unisex T-Shirt

The Lady Poet Unisex T-Shirt, with artwork by Martha Maynard, features some of our favorite lady poets here at PSNY, including Adrienne Rich, Maya Angelou, Audre Lorde, Sylvia Plath, June Jordan, Lucille Clifton, Anne Sexton, and Anna Akhmatova. The Lady Poet Unisex T-Shirt is part of PSNY’s Ideal Objects line of product collaborations. According to Plato’s Theory of Forms as laid out in Phaedo, “there is such a thing as an absolute x.” There is an absolute t-shirt! It is the essence of all t-shirts, the ideal form of which all t-shirts partake, and the reason we call each particular t-shirt by one and the same name. Ours is thick cotton and super comfy! Each of the items in our Ideal Objects line is a collaboration between PSNY’s design team and a poet, artist, or collective who sought to manifest their vision of that object’s formal ideal. Most importantly, 20% of each sale goes directly to the collaborating artist.
